CARE
Worn daily. Cared for simply.
Daily Wear
Wear Often, Wear Well
Fine gold and natural stones are meant to be lived in. Put your ring on last — after lotions, perfume, and hairspray — and take it off for the gym, the garden, the kitchen sink, and the ocean. Chlorine, bleach, and heavy lifting are the three quiet enemies of a setting.
Cleaning
A Soft Brush, Warm Water
Soak the piece for a few minutes in warm water with a drop of unscented dish soap, brush gently behind the stone with a soft toothbrush, and pat dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners on salt-and-pepper diamonds, opals, emeralds, tanzanite, and any treated stones — bring those in to us instead.
Storage
Each Piece, Its Own Pouch
Store rings separately in the suede pouch they arrived in, or in a lined box. Gold is soft; diamonds will scratch gold and other stones. Keep pieces away from direct sun and dry heat to protect organic materials like pearl and opal.
Lifetime Service
Bring It Home for a Tune-Up
Every Vena Amoris piece is welcome back in the studio for complimentary cleaning and inspection. Rhodium re-plating on white gold, prong tightening, polishing, and resizing are offered at cost. Reach out and we'll arrange insured shipping or a Brooklyn appointment.
