The Romans believed a vein ran from the ring finger to the heart — vena amoris, the vein of love. This ring was made for that passage.

The Stone
A salt and pepper diamond is a universe compressed into a single gem — smoky inclusions, flecks of black, shadows that shift with the light. No two are alike. Flanking it: two natural Paraiba tourmalines, discovered in a single mine in Brazil in the 1980s, lit from within by copper ions in a blue-green glow you will not find in any other stone on earth. Very few mines still produce them. Even fewer jewelers work with them.

The Metal
18k rose gold, solid and recycled. Cast and finished entirely by hand in a Brooklyn studio using old-world goldsmithing techniques — the same methods that have defined fine jewelry for centuries.

The Setting
The Empress. Named for the one who rules in her own name. A crown silhouette that lets the stone breathe, holds it with intention, and wears that crown without apology.
