The Romans believed a vein ran from the ring finger to the heart — vena amoris, the vein of love. This ring carries a stone most jewelers have never held.
The Stone
A 2.65 carat Malaya garnet — a color-shift stone mined in East Africa, known for moving between warm orange, peachy pink, and deep raspberry depending on the light it's held in. Malaya means “outcast” in Swahili — the stone was rejected by gem traders in the 1960s because it didn't fit any known garnet category. It is its own thing entirely. Set with 18 diamond accents that let the garnet do all the talking.
The Metal
Solid platinum — the rarest and most durable of all jewelry metals. Heavier than gold, naturally white, and the only metal that holds prongs with precision over decades of wear. Recycled and conflict-free. Hand-finished in a Brooklyn studio.
The Details
One maker. One studio. One ring.
