Iris was the Greek goddess of the rainbow — messenger between gods and mortals, the arc that bridged the sky and the earth. The flower that still carries her name bloomed from the trail her spectrum left behind, and the Egyptians later read its three petals as faith, wisdom, and valor. This ring carries both: a 6mm blue sapphire at the center, held open by six prongs arranged in pairs around the stone like petals around a heart, set in solid 18k yellow gold.

Six prongs, not four. The difference matters. Four prongs hold a stone still; six let it move with the light — three pairs cradling the center, each pair a petal, the whole setting a small bloom caught mid-open. It's the geometry of a flower translated into metal, and it's the part of the design that earns the collection name.

Sapphire is the older engagement stone. Before twentieth-century diamond marketing rewrote the tradition, sapphires were what you gave — the stone of vows, of faithfulness, of a promise that took its color from the sea and the sky and meant to last as long as both. This one holds the deep velvet blue the stone is best known for, the color that reads warmer against yellow gold than it ever would against white. Firelight against water at dusk — two temperatures insisting on each other.

Every stone is natural, ethically sourced, and conflict-free. The 18k yellow gold is solid and recycled where possible. The setting is built using old world techniques by hand — the same methods that have defined fine jewelry for centuries.
