Boudica Tanzanite Necklace
Regular price $2,200.00The Romans believed a vein ran from the ring finger directly to the heart — vena amoris, the vein of love. Tesia Alexandra has built her work around that idea. The Boudica Tanzanite Necklace is for the person who understands rarity — not as status, but as fact. This stone comes from one place on earth. When it is gone, it is gone.
The Stone
Tanzanite is found only in a single mining area near Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania. Geologists estimate the deposits will be exhausted within a generation. The stone is a blue-violet zoisite, trichroic — meaning it shows three different colors depending on the viewing angle: blue, violet, and burgundy. The piece you see is determined by how the lapidary cut the rough. This one runs blue-violet, deep and saturated. No other stone looks like it.
The Metal
14k gold. Recycled and conflict-free. Hand-finished in Brooklyn by one maker. The setting was chosen to let the stone's color shift be the entire conversation. The necklace comes with an 18 inch 14k gold chain, 1.6mm medium weight with a polished finish — substantial enough to wear alone, refined enough to layer.
The Setting
The Boudica setting was designed to hold a stone the way a queen wears a crown — with intention, not ornamentation. Open gallery. Clean lines. The stone is the subject.
