The Romans believed a vein ran from the ring finger directly to the heart — vena amoris, the vein of love. Tesia Alexandra named her studio for that idea. The Boudica Ring is its most literal expression: a stone worn on the finger closest to the heart, chosen because it could not be anything else.
The Stone
Green-blue tourmaline occupies the spectrum between indicolite and Paraiba — a teal zone that most tourmalines never reach. Tourmaline is one of the most complex gemstones chemically, forming in more color combinations than any other mineral. The green-blue range is among the rarest because it requires a very specific balance of iron and copper during crystal growth. This stone was chosen because it sits in that balance and holds it.
The Metal
Set in 14k gold — finished entirely by hand in a Brooklyn studio. The Boudica setting wraps the stone in a simple, strong frame that keeps the focus entirely on the color. Recycled and conflict-free.
The Setting
The Boudica setting translates the necklace design into a ring: clean prongs, an open gallery, a low profile. It was designed to sit well on the hand and not compete with the stone it holds. The stone is always the point.
The Details
One maker. One studio. Green, blue, and impossibly both.
