The Romans believed a vein ran from the ring finger directly to the heart — vena amoris, the vein of love. Tesia Alexandra named her studio for that idea. The Boudica Ring brings it back to its origin: the stone worn on the hand, on the finger nearest the heart, chosen because its warmth stays.
The Stone
Morganite — the peachy-pink beryl first described in 1910, named for J.P. Morgan, prized for a color that lives somewhere between blush and bloom. In a ring, morganite behaves differently than any other stone: it reflects the warmth of the hand that wears it back through the stone, softening and deepening throughout the day. No two morganites read the same color in the same room.
The Metal
Set in 14k gold — finished entirely by hand in Tesia Alexandra's Brooklyn studio. The Boudica setting keeps the stone as the sole object of attention. Recycled and conflict-free.
The Setting
The Boudica ring setting translates the pendant design into a ring: clean prongs, open gallery, low and close to the finger. The stone sits just above the skin, as close as possible to the vein it was always meant for.
The Details
One maker. One studio. The warmth of the stone, answered by the warmth of the hand.
